• The silicone membrane forms a mechanical barrier directly in front of the cervix. The firm edge of the Caya diaphragm securely closes the cervix.
• The Caya contraceptive gel contains u. a. also cellulose, which is another mechanical barrier directly on the cervix.
• The Caya Gel has a motility-inhibiting effect on the sperm, it has an acidic pH of 3.8, which deactivates the sperm. With every sexual intercourse you put this gel into the membrane wells and onto the outer ring of the caya diaphragm.
