Red clover (Trifolium pratense, also known as meadow clover) grows mostly hidden among other grasses in our meadows. Not long ago, the beneficial effects of red clover were discovered in women over the age of about 50. Red clover is recommended as a herbal alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
